SOHC V-AFC
I am looking forward to getting a V-AFC for my D16z6 this weekend. If I come across one is it really worth it for a single cam motor? Should I just save my money and wait until I get my swap. I was figuring that im better off getting one now than never, because either way im getting one its just a matter of time. So if any single cam owners got a V-AFC lemme know how its treating ya. Thanks...

do you have any other engine mods? cuz i recall that just using a v-afc on a SOHC is basically pointless/useless on the stock engine. can someone confirm this?

Re: SOHC V-AFC (EVIL Hx Coupe)
is there really a point to running a vtec controller when you have a chipped ecu? I see these in cars all the time but don't really understand them, can you tune your a/f and ignition with it along with what rpm you want the cam to kick over into vtec? or does the v-afc compliment the chipped ecu?

I was running a 75 shot, so it helped with the air/fuel curve alot, I gained like 8 or 9 whp with it, can't remember. The VTEC engagement point is mostly useless, keep VTEC between 4800-5500 in a SOHC.
I purchased the Hondata S200 model from KS Motorsports, I think it was on sale at the time, but I paid $245. Kyle is great with customer service over there.

The VAFC won't be worth the money then. You need some bigger mods first.
