Sohc transmission build-up
Okay, I was wondering if there is any gearing kit that I can put in the sohc transmission to make the gears shorter. I heard that ssr makes one, but not too sure if anybody else does. Also, what kind of lsd would you recommend? BTW, I have a 00 ex w/ the edelbrock turbo kit if that makes any difference. Thanks for the help.

Gearspeed is probably your best bet. SRR (not SSR they make wheels) makes a 4.7 and 4.9 final drive for SOHC's, but I've read about them wearing prematurely. No company makes replacement gearsets for SOHC's as far as I know (ATS does but that's for B series). You can use ZC gears, but i'm not really familiar with doing that. IMHO talk to gearspeed they'll hook you up
