It feels great. It picks up much quicker and pulls harder. When I find an extra $50 I'm gonna strap it to the dyno and see how its doing.

No, I didn't install it myself. He said he had to modify some coolant lines, so I'm not sure about difficulty. 3hrs worth of labor. I bought it at a local Skunk2 dealer. I paid $305 for it, but I'm sure shopping around or waiting the price will be lower. It hasn't really messed with my gas mileage or had any down sides. So far 100% all good.

Did you do dyno runs before the Skunk2 IM? That would really help to see how far the Skunk2 has brought your power and where it shifted the powerband. (I read in another post there will probably be a lot of top-end w/ it.) Let us know how it does! Looks great in your dirty enginebay.

No I didn't do a before run. Thats an extra $50 I didn't have before hand. The last time I dynod was in Feb 02. 109.1HP and 95.7ft/lbs. So, its come along way from then. Thats about all I can compare it to.

looking good, just ditch that breather and hook the hosing back up to your intake tube- your head it probably suffocating.

Well, as I said before the intake was a hand-me-down. The previous owner plugged it with silicone. So I can deal with it for a while. Whats the theory behind the head not breathing?

Oh how I so wish I had enough money to get one of those right now. Oh well, I think my y8 will make me just as happy until I can afford that baby.

I have 2 breathers on mine, looks like the same kind. Why would it make a difference? All the breather is doing is not letting the hot air from the head go back into the intake, and brining in "new" air. right?

Re: SOHC Skunk2 Intake Manifold Installed! (Civic_95_Si)
it ventilates the crankcase and helps get the gases that raise to teh top of your head out of your motor. Honda wouldnt of put tha tube there if it didnt have a real purpose. Put the tube back on and your motor will be alot more happier w/ you
Its like driving down the road with 1 spark plug wire out with your G.I. Joe sticking out of the hole becuase it looks cool. In other words. Dont hurt the motor inspite of the bling bling breathr hehe
damn i am tired... i dont even know if that all dcame out right..

The incoming air in the intake flows from the tube into the valve cover and pushes the gasses inside the block into the carbon box/ black box on the back of the motor..... from there when there is vacuum inside the manifold your pcv valve opens and sucks that air into the motor. But this is only under part throttle / vacuum situations. Hope I could help clear that up.. also I recommend putting the tube back on.
