sohc rebuild???
im bout to pick up a d16z6 and lookin to rebuild it. how much am i lookin to spend on rebuilding it? all the info will be helpful . thanks

umm, depends on what you are planning to do with it...fi or na....d-series.org has pretty much anything you wanna know with a rebuild. Just a oem rebuild gasket kit can run in the 200 range...then you get to pistons, head gaskets, head work, milling.
Just sign up over there and read. Most of everyone in here is swapped to the B. But I am with you on the SOHC. My backup engine is getting built for a nice fi set up, vitara pistons and so on, still not a b, but its there so why not!

If you plan on keeping it stock, it might just be easyer to buy another one with lower miles consitering how cheap you can pick them up

well im plannin on goin NA but im just lookin to have a more reliable motor swap. and a little more power then stock. nothin too crazy like that. i was just thinkin bout rebulding cuz im getting the whole swap for 150$ but im not sure if it will run or not. my fren got it from another frens wrecked del sol.
