SOHC possible build?
i got a d16z6 vtec engine completely stock besides spark wires and headers(lol)
what is the best way to go with this engine to at least go to like 160hp and increase torque?
i know most will say boost but just seeing any way to increase up to that point?

You only have one header.
Your best option to get 160 HP is probably to go with a Jackson Racing supercharger. I see them used in the Honda-Tech marketplace for $1000-1500 constantly. Don't forget to get a tune (~$300-400).
EDIT: Oh, and some bigger injectors, probably 330cc if you only want to make 160 HP.

Re: SOHC possible build?
why always the ambiguous HP goals...? what about 60ft times or "how can i run the 1/4 in ___sec?"
anyways.. these are not unatainable numbers, but like what's been said already, it's very expensive! consider it took a team of highly specialized engineers at Honda to get 100 hp/L out of the first B16. and when they were given that goal they thought it was crazy!
so if you're hardcore N/A single cam, build away. if you want 160hp out of 1.6 liters... you'll be better off relying on the skills of those engineers and swaping in a B16.
