First off: It's just header. You only have one.

With that out of the way, I'd say you've kinda limited your options. I understand not wanting to shell out all that money for Bisi's (although they are extremely nice if you can get one). Don't know what you mean by the DC's being "ugly". They look a lot like the other header choices you will find. You at least know you will get a more quality part.

If you wanna try OBX, megan racing, or any lesser ebay brands, go right ahead but you are always taking a risk with those (bad fitment, rusting, leaks, etc). My friend got an OBX "ceramic coated" one for his D16y8 and the o2 bung was in the wrong spot (typical for the cheap headers). Coating also started to come off and it developed rust spots. In the end, you get what you pay for (In his case like 100 bucks).

You could always try and find someone to make you one, but of course you are running into cost issues again.

get a cheapy eBay 4-2-1 and be done with it. there is no significant difference in power gained between a $50 header and a $500 header. invest your money in something that's actually going to be worth it and make you power i.e. tune, cams, boost, etc.

buy an egay header and when that rusts out buy another one. cheaper than dc, but the same gains (if any)

or...just save up for the 450 to get bisi headers. thats only 150 more then most dc headers.

or just throw in an ebay.

and pretty sure the 500 dollar header has some more performance modification done to it then just pipe to collector of a 50 buck one.

Here is the header in question (I'm assuming from the price).

http://bisimoto.net/store/index.php?...roducts_id=489

There are two others for sale as well that are a few hundred bucks more.

if its just a clean everyday car and not a racer, get a cheapo ebay header and use the rest of that money in a cam or intake mani. Or save your pennies and go DOHC lol

Honestly, the only header that should go on a SOHC is one that allows a turbo to be hung from it. The only reason I got a cheap ebay one was because it was cheaper than an OE one. Not worth the 1-2hp gain (if that) to spend more than $60 on one IMO...

if not supercharging the motor ther is no use to upgrading the header on a D series motor, To be completely honest with you depending on where you live you should probably sell your honda for something easier to manage, having a car that gets trailed by cops and never passes smog with certian mods or swaps and always gets **** from other car owners is not something cool to have. I'm on the verge of selling mine and ive had 4 different honda's with all different motors, the reason behind having all honda cars is the simple fact that ive rode honda dirtbikes my whole life so i stuck to the company, but now that i see the people who delve into it and swear by it i'd look elsewhere for a reliable mod worthy car to upgrade.

Very True. I have a d16y8 with the polished Ebay header and still works great after 4 years, and still looks just as good as polished DC sports. All i have to do is wetsand and polish to bring up back the shine. Improved milage, top end power and mid-range tourque.

Go with the Ebay 4-2-1
