SOHC gude cam & ecu
Do any of you guys have a gude cam and ecu for your d15b7's. If so what did you pay for them and what kind of power gains did you get. I've heard that they pull strong as hell for a SOHC.
Any help appreciated
thanks

Re: SOHC gude cam & ecu (Mista Bone)
really, There is someone on this board by the name of 95'D15B7 and he had a gude cam and ecu and he says that there is a very big difference. I was just wondering if it was worth the money. Im kinda at a dead spot on my engine, I just cant seem to find a way to extract any more power besides turbo or spray which I dont want to do. I should just build the **** out of it. I don't want a DOHC, I just cant justify the money for the swap. Plus I just love to be the underdog guy with the DOHC smoking SOHC.

those runs are over 2 years old, almost 3 years!
And that was with the old D15B7 from hell!
Car did weigh 2200 w/o driver. It did have the A/C and full seats still in it.

I did a cam swap before i was turbo and the cam really dont do crap, valves stay open a bit longer but overall not worth the hasstle, unless u get a turbo cam like me

Re: SOHC gude cam & ecu (turbocivic4)
what does the gude ecu do for the car, Does it provide more aggressive fuel maps, does it provide a higher rev limit? How much does it affect performance?

Re: SOHC gude cam & ecu (hondafrk)
higher rev limit, 7500 rpm I think.
Fuel maps? You'll think you are driving a V8 camaro watching thr gas gauge!
20-22 MPG from a engine that got 40-42 MPG.
This is more than enough for the stock cat to handle and cause failure at emissions testing.

Re: SOHC gude cam & ecu (tommyboy)
I had a Gude 2522 cam in my D15 (for over 100,000 miles) and I liked it- it had decent torque on the freeway and top end was better- however- I would probably go with the Si cam- I'm sure you can find one for cheap.
As far as a D16Z6 cam- I would like to know anyone's experience with Gude- I had a ZEX that was decent but too damn noisy. I remember SCC did an article on a Z6 street cam from them a few years ago and it gained 14 whp.
