SOHC from down under
Love this site, most of the guys here are really informative.
Nehow onto what i want to ask, i own a SOHC EG4 civic(hence the name)
i've been reading Spades list of upgrades for the SOHC and i've been really inspired on improving my own works.
Currently i've only slapped on a home made CAI using the stock box wif a drop in K&N Filter with a pipe extending to the front bar.
At the moment i have the opportunity to purchase a Type R Throttle Body andi was wondering if this would fit onto my engine? I've been reading spades thread time and time again, and i think it would fit but i'd like a good confirmation.
Thanks for the help.
Due to certain circumstances i can;t slap on a Full on exhaust(damn insurance )
but i'd still like to get a few more horsies any suggestions?(yes i know the air intake voids ur insurance as well but i can remove that alittle easier then the exhaust)
Thanks once again

Re: SOHC from down under (EG4)
I believe B16 B20 B18C B18C5 and LS will fit, but some have gaps and high idleing issues. Like i said "I believe"; don't take my word for it.

I believe you can use a B series TB, I'm not quite sure though; I just got a BBK throttle.
Yes, Spade has some great ideas in his thread, and I'm going to explore some of those ideas myself

It will bolt on...
as far as all the vacuum passages lining up, well you're probably just gonna have to try it.
I have used a 96+ tb on a 92-95 manifold without problem, so I would think it would work without problem.

Re: SOHC from down under (Emerica)
Thanks for the replies fella's, well looks like its my next mod for the car.
Yeah i'm from Australia, the insurance here can really suck. Well i guess it was my fault, 1 two many insurance claims resulted in a a stock car wif no mods in order to have me insured.
Slowly creeping my way up into the ratings book, and once i get that all important rating one for life i'm set.
Tho i can do a few mods when i hit 25 which is next yr(Think God for that)
BTW does a intake pipe from a b16a bolt onto a D series engine? not really rite? but will be conducting an experiment over the week regarding this.
Geez i wish Oz had this kinda Cult fixation on the EG series model civics, everything here just deals with turbos and more turbos
