just swap the motor. It isnt worth blowing up your motor while paying $3000 for a turbo. just use that money for a b16 or something

I had the same engine as you and if wanted you can be different and build up that motor such as turbo cams pistons. I did that with my d15 and it ran great wanted to go vtec so I swapped it for a d16z6 but i still have my d15 laying around

your an idiot... a Dseries turbo kit can be put together for anywhere from 500 to 1000. and will destroy a b16.

you can have a turbo kit for $500 = what hes really saying is do what half the ghetto kids do and go to your local junkyard pick up a crx HF manifold, mate a DSM turbo to it, DSM blow off valve, buy a used intercooler, and get your piping done at pep boys..dont do it, its just a waste of time..if your gonna go boost, do it right especially on a y8 if your goin under 10 lbs stock thats fine, but anything over that and your gonna need oil pump mods, and some other serious stuff.. y8's like to spin bearings at high boost due to oil starvation..before you do anything my advice would be to research and read up on it

Im sure the d15 might get lame after a while. Swap engine, get good power, and if later you want to turbo lets say a b16 or w/e youll end up making even better numbers then you would on a d15. Im sure a d15 can be done right, but thats only for people that want to be different and do it for a challenge (and also really know what the fk they are doin)

the reason im asking is because the swap i was gonna get got bought right out from under me...well traded for a stock crx it was a b16 with gsr internals crx pistons gsr transmisson stage 2 clutch or some **** axles mounts the whole nine yards but danni need a car so he bit the bullet and let it go

i guess sence the one openly available complete swap for under 2000 dollars is gone now im just trying to be orginial with this engine is anyone running a decent d15b7 currently
what have u done and was it necessary to keep up with a stock b16?

my main problem is a guy i hang out with has the b18c5 integra type r engine in his civic coupe and he keeps blowing my doors off only person i have to be faster than is him ive got inferior hp complex
