first you need to let out the freon in a a correct order or do it like some other peeps where they dont care about the earth and just let it spray out. they just take out ac.

Once you get the refrigerant out, it's really just a matter of "if it's associated with AC, unbolt and remove." It's as straightforward as anything.

dont forget to remove the heat exchanger under the dash on the passenger side.....it looks kinda like a radiator but smaller....its inside the ducting that connects the blower motor and the center of the dash just a few screws

Make Al Gore proud and use a recovery system so you dont deplete the ozone.

If you remove the evaporator you better have a duct from a non-AC equipped Civic to replace it with or else your vents won't be blowing anything since it'll be coming out below your glove box.

So, I just removed "most" of my ac components yesterday... I'm trying to avoid tearing apart the dash. I left the lines going to the firewall alone, and I'm planning on just plugging them. Will that go terribly wrong for me?

You don't have to tear apart your dash... you just have to remove your glove box, as the evap is right behind there. Nothing will go terribly wrong, so if you're satisfied then you're done. Personally, I picked up everything from a non-AC Civic and swapped it over for a cleaner look. The open holes in the firewall are an eyesore.

Yeah, I don't have the prettiest engine bay anyway... Guess I'll just leave it how it is.
