So I Keep Checking to See if There's a Dead Cat Under My Hood. Whats the Noise??
So it usually occurs within the first 15 min after warm-up and only at idle. When I blip the throttle it stops. Its a kind of whiny waaaaaaa..... and people at the red lights look over at me like WTFOMGHI2U....
I'm always on the way to work or home and usually just got on the freeway so I haven't been able to pull over and pop the hood yet.
So any ideas because I fresh out?
I know my motor pretty well since I built it and swapped it myself and I've been driving it almost daily for over a year now and never heard anything like it. Just did a fresh oil/ filter change, plugs, wires, rotor, and cap and other than this its running like a champ.

Probably a loose/old belt that's slipping.
Adjust your alternator, PS, and AC belts. Check to see if they're cracked/worn. Maybe try some belt lube to see if that quiets them down.
My alternator belt does it every morning (I know it's alt because I don't have AC/PS )

But that would be more of a rattle noise, wouldn't it?

Bringing this post back cuz I haven't been driving it until lately & I finally got a chance to pop the hood. It is definetly not the belts as I have only the alternator belt. The sound is loud waahaaahaa which seems to be coming out of the intake. It isnt going away with the throttle anymore either.
I am now concerned it may be the water pump. I don't think it is the throw out bearing and its def not the header bracket.
What kind of noise did the water pump make? Did you replace it before it failed?
