wheels tires. Depending what kind you get you could have 700 left, or nothing. I assume all the maintinence is up to date first. If not you should spend it on fixing any problems. Good luck.

edit- im bored

then you could do suspension. give it a nice stance. I think on a red car white wheels looks good, or bronze.

This is kinda what I want my car to look like.

I am getting a macco paint job black for probably 500.

But you are right with RIMS and such, I'm not exactly sure what's the best place to get them etc.

It's a 99. :/
I don't want to blow a lot of money on a paint job. I just need it black. I talked to one of the managers that worked there it seems decent.

If I go to Honda / other places = 1500+.

dont listen to this guy...

macco is each owned individually. Just do some research on the local macco. Alot of people have had great success with Macco. There is a 100+ page thread on macco paint jobs that show 90% success rate for a 300 dollar paint job.

as for what you should do i would do springs or coilovers to lower the car first.

Nothing makes a car look better then lowering the car. Then get some OEM wheels.

you can find bargain parts in the sponsor sections onhere.

I have bought most of my stuff either in the sponsor section or just the marketplace.

being poor pays off once in a while... you must attend community college to get that much of a refund back.

Haha, yeah I do. My parents are split up, my mom doesn't make much. Etc.

I didn't expect this at all today. I was just thinking "damn, I wish I had some money to set up my car" and bam.

You have a '99 civic, why would you need a paint job? What's wrong w/ the current colour? Just go for rims/tires and some suspension works and you'll be set.

Four door for more hoeezzz.

EDIT: Save your money man

I like black, I had a 98 black and people said they liked that car more just because it was [freak]ing black. :l
Even though it was auto, more miles, etc.

And I saw your wheels. Damn - I think that would look pretty sick, even with the red colour I have now. Those black rims/red around them. What are they?

dude, you can take this any way you want, but if the paint thats on it now is in good condition i would never get it painted at maaco. i would use the money on wheels and suspension and maint. to me and everyone i know, a car is worth more with decent original paint than a cheap new paintjob. if you really want it black so bad, then wait and save enough for a proper respray that wont leave you with a shitty looking car in a year or two.

take that 1500 and invest in a good alarm first. i would recommend compustar, but that just me others have worked out great. i would get security first since u just posted ur car with ur plates. after you get security then you can start modding your vehicle. GARAGES DO NOT HELP! they would only stall someone until they figure out how to get in and out. make stealing your car more complicated before you start modding. if not sooner or later you'll just post back here again saying your vehicle was stolen.

we dont wanna see another stolen vehicle thread and you because there was no security.

Splash your car with APC stickers, definitely helps your car go faster. Also don't forget the huge supra wing in the back. Unpainted Black Widow bodykit is a classic. Anyway, the first three I just mentioned you should never do unless you want to get laughed at. $1500 can dissapear fast so the best thing to do is drop it low, get some good use wheels and an alarm clock and most important of all keep it hella damn clean inside and out.

pay off any loans you have. if you don't have any, save the money for something more important in the future.

the red is a nice colour i like most people would say slaps some new shoes on them with good rubber and a suspension set up and then you have yourself a great looking car

Thanks to everyone with valid responses! (All loans are paid off too)

Alright, getting all these opinions. I think I will keep the color.
Spend the money on rims/tires/and is suspension risky?

What is the best thing to do for that? Also I am in Minnesota so we have winter's. Is this going to be a factor?

Keep it the way it looks. There's nothing wrong with the stock look. Give it a nice drop and boost it. You'll have a nice little sleeper.
