i read and read and so far i haven't found anyone with anything bad to say bout koni yellows with ground control .........

i have a 99 civic ex coupe and im about 2 change out the suspension....i know that with a few hundred dollars more i can get... say tein basic full coilover suspension.....

just wondering if anyone has any input in this....r the koni gc good enough for a daly driver...wanna drop it a few inches but still want a smooth ride or is it better 2 save up a few more dollars for a coilover kit ....an suggestions input.. plz

Koni Yellows with Ground Control coilovers are fine. It's practically the most recommended setup on these boards, and people daily drive with them just fine. Whether you want to spring (see what I did there?) for Tein suspension ... Well, I have no way to finish this sentence, I just wanted to make a pun.

It all depends on where you live...in my area any type of coilover rides like garbage, but our roads are littered with potholes and cracks, so I am not a good judge in this matter. If the majority of the roads that you travel on are perfectly smooth and flat you'll be fine. Ride in someone elses car that has coilovers and see what you think. If you live in crap road country you may want to opt for a set of springs and struts to get you through until you decide if you want coilovers for sure. Usually you can get a nice set of springs and struts for under $500. I believe that Konis and GC will cost you upwards of $850 or so.

yea they ride really good... my friend has them on a EM1 and it is so smooth and it still handles great

more people i know rock konis and ground controls over full coilover setups. and its not because of the price difference. ive seen tein basics for less than koni shocks and gc's and people still buy the konis. they perform very well for a daily driver.

I really hate suggesting eBay for car parts, but unfortunately that's the cheapest prices I've seen on Konis and GCs.
Ground Control has crap for customer service. I got screwed out of two screws and they wouldn't send me another. And adjustable coilovers should come with the wrench to adjust them, but GC doesn't include one.

Now if only it was warm enough to install mine.
