So about big trucks and my Honda...
So I'm busy eating some Quiznos, being treated by my roommate's dad, and this dude comes in the door to the restaurant with a horribly confused look on his face.
Dood, "Does someone in here own a little red car?"
Me, "I have a red civic hatchback...is that what you're talking about?"
Dood, "I don't know what kind of car it is, but I just ran over it."
Me, ::blink, blink::, "Seriously?"
Dood, "Yeah...you should come out and look at it,"
So I get up, assuming that this guy is going to start laughing at me and talking **** about lowered Honda Civics any moment. Then I look out the windows of the Quiznos: I can't see my car because a huge, lifted F250 work truck loaded with construction **** is in the way.
Dood, "I'm really sorry, I didn't see it there and I just pulled away not thinking."
Me, "Okay. Let's take a look."
I'm assuming he scuffed my bumper or something. Well, in reality, his rear tire went over my front driver's side wheel/tire, over my fender, (bearly) missed my hood, crushed my turn signal, ripped out the wiring, tore off the front bumper, fucked the headlight, destroyed the driver's side foglight and possibly mangled my suspension.
Me, "Wow. That's unfortunate."
Dood, "Man, I'm really sorry. Here's my card and my cell phone number. You get it looked at, get an estimate, give me a call, and I'll write you a check on the spot."
Me, "Alright, man. Hey, no hard feelings :shakes hand:."
Dood, "Thanks for not being a dick. You're a good guy."
Me, "Have a good one."
I went back inside and my roommate was laughing hysterically. I told my car I hated it before I went in the restaurant...silly me.
So, if all goes well, I'll get a nice check and use my car as a parts car, so I'll post up if ****'s for sale in the next week or so. I'll also try to get some pics.

Wow, you are a good guy if you can sit there and look at your hatch that just got rolled over, and say "Wow. That's unfortunate" and at the end of the conversation, "Have a good one." I wish I had that kind of self-control. Anyways, that sucks. At least he came in and found you, usually people would just dip out after something like that, and on top of that, he offered to pay for the repairs. I guess the whole world isn't filled with complete ********.

I hope you don't live to regret what you did. You should ALWAYS call the police when something like this happens. Even if the damage seems minor and the guy seems trustworthy, it's good to have collisions documented for possible insurance/legal problems later. Good luck.

That sucks man...
I always wonder how those guys in the big trucks avoid things like this.. evidentally they can't!
At least he was nice about it and didn't just take off.

you you need to get us some pics. my uncles corvette got rolled over by a bronco in the early 80's, the bronco was lifted and the driver was drunk. oh yeah, this all happened in an intersection while the cars were in motion.

Re: (stock93cx)
Did you get his license plate number atleast? Because when I was 16 and first got my license, a guy ran a stop sign and hit my old camaro I had, the camaro ended up being totaled, thank god, lol, but anyways I didn't know to call the police,I got his policy number and his cell phone number, turned out his cell phone number was bullshit, and what ended up happening is when I went to the insurance, the policy number wasn't valid either. So it ended up taking about 4-5 months for it to get resolved. A license plate is definetly something you need to get down, it makes things about 100% easier, espeically if all you have is a cell phone number, and no police report or anything on the incident. Good luck though, and lets see some pics.

Getting pics uploaded as I type. The bumper has since been put back on, but it's torn loose from the bolts that hold it to the core support. It appears that the guy didn't run over the whole thing because my bumper gave way beneath his mighty pickup as he was about to cripple the hood.
One sec, fellas
EDIT: I'll appologize in advance for my roommate's camera sucking ***: mine took a **** on me a month ago.
