Default SNAP!

i was replacing my cam plug and tightening down the first bolt on the cam cap with a torque wrench,i heard a snap which i stupidly thought was the "click"i was supposed to hear.after three of these "clicks" i realized my stupidity,i snapped three of my bolts for the cam cap ,FFFFFF&*%%$$$KK!!!! .Any suggestions on what to do now?the other halves of the bolts are still in the threads...thanks for any advice you guys have.

you gotta drill them out or use a reverse drill bit set and replace the bolts. 10mm is only suppose to be 7 ft lbs and the 12mm bolts are 20 ft lbs

Yes, honda will have them - just ask for them for the usdm b16a2 (99-00 em1), if you want to be specific, and you'll be fine

But yeah, your first stop will be the hardware store for an EZ-out and a hard sharp new drill bit

Yep, just get an extractor set and they should come right out.

^^Its not all his fault.

The "clicking" torque wrenches are horrible for low amounts of torque.

Analog torque wrenchs FTW.

Is this being said as though you've never broken anything or did anything wrong?

You misused the word "you're" in two instances in the same sentence. Perhaps you should read a book or try staying awake through a 3rd grade reading class before you point any accusatory fingers, hmmm?

Smear some rtv sealant/hondabond around the outside edges of the plug, and let it dry - should be good enough of a fix until you can get the parts you need.
just watch for oil coming out...if it does.......put more on
