I am posting this for a friend; fore it has me stumped so I figured I would ask you guys.


"Ok, I was driving and the car just shut off when i was doing about 45 mph. I tried to restart it and all it did was crank. I looked and all i saw was white smoke come out from the hood, so i jacked it up and looked and it blew the black box off the block where the pcv valve goes. Therefore, rebolted it back on and put 1 1/2 quarts of oil back in it, until the full line on the dip stick. The b16 started back up and it was blowing white smoke out of the valve cover from the breather tube.

You can pull the oil cap off and look you can see smoke come out but not really alot of oil in the head

You can also actually look in the valve cover while it runs and it doesnt blow oil out."

This is a b16 on 8 psi.

is it smoking from the oil cap when removed??

sounds like you may be fawked buddy.
pull the dip stick to see if smoke comes out from there also.
if it does your rings officially are finished its time for a rebuild.
