smoking b16 powered del sol
i recently did a turbo setup on my b16a powered del sol. after about a week i had to pull the turbo do to bearing failure. after putting the car back to stock, i drove it around for about a week and it seemed to have a burning oil smell coming from the exhaust but there was no smoke. i ending up wearing a hole in one of my raditor hoses that caused my car to over-heat to levels equil to hell. after i replaced the raditor hose, i noticed my car was loosing power at mid range. it still has desent torque and excellent top end, but in the middle it sucks! also it now blows bluish smoke. it doesn't smoke all the time, just when i barely touch the throttle. then it pretty much covers the whole street. last night i raced my car a few times and it ran like a bat outta hell, but when i take it easy, smoke. i'm wondering if it could be a head gaskett or piston rings or maybe even valve seals. i'm throwing any check engine codes so i'm pretty much in the dark here. any help is diffently needed.

Re: smoking b16 powered del sol (B16Drag)
i checked the compression today and got app. 175, 180, 180, 190. i'm pretty sure these aren't bad but i'm not real sure. after playing around with the plugs and wires, the power loss has pretty much stopped and the smoking is gone too. it still could be the head gasket, but now i'm not so sure its not just some problems in the ignition system. i think i'm gonna change those things and give it a little tune up to see if that cures the problems all together.
