Smoke from underneath the manifold?
My boyfriend has a 93' Honda Civic.
HE returned one day with his car making a
weird noice. Than he noticed smoke coming from in between the firewall and the motor just under the manifold. many think it is something electrical but we arent sure, though it DID smell like burning rubber. any suggestions?
thanks.

Its possible that there is trash or a bag melted to the exhaust, You cant really tell what it could be unless you look at it. Get underneath and check it out.

I noticed you said manifold and firewall...are you referring to the IM?
Did you/him get under the hood to check it out?

I want to know what this 'noise' is doing. You said that there is a noise? Where is it coming from? Have you had a chance to jack the car up and look under there?
