smoke under valve cover

Default smoke under valve cover

ok i will start my car let it run and **** for a good 5-10 mins when i shut it off i take off the oil cap to look and see if the oil is ok and **** but there is some smoke coming up and out ...bad or good??????

its called blowby.... is your engine a d series??? if so change ur pcv valve and breather chamber under the intake manny... if not state what engine you have.....

Have you replaced the PCV valve at all? If not, I'd start there.

Yes, start by replacing that and see if that fixes your problem. It's a very cheap and easy fix to perform.

by the way where is the breather chamber under the intake manny and whats is the pcv valve and whats iit look like

Your first step should be to go buy a Hayne's manual if you're going to work on your car. Not only will it tell you how to replace the PCV valve, but it will also give you loads of other useful information, including torque specs, wiring diagrams, etc. Also, if you search on this website using the search button you will see that many topics such as this one have already been covered in great detail.

no... positive crankcase ventilation.............. follow the vacuum hose off the pcv valve ( on the intake manny by the fuel rail) under the manny this little black box on the back of your engine is referred to by honda as the breather chamber and is part of the pcv system...
