Smogging a '92 Civic Si w/ JDM GSR (SoCal Heads!)
i'v searched and didn't really find anything.
will a '92 Civic Si with a JDM GSR pass smog in SoCal? can it be BAR'd?

u will pass visual if u put everything to usdm, but as for smog emission, u motor might be bad or not.

i plan on putting on all the u.s. smog stuff on and running on a u.s. ecu.
the reason i asked was, a buddy told me it wouldn't pass. he said B16A will pass but a B18C wont. i honestly don't see why it wouldn't but he said it wouldn't.

u can get it to pass if you have all the necessary smog equipment hooked up. but like one of the other guys said, its all in the ecu. U will need an usdm ecu, my friend has had luck passing them w/ non-vtec ecu's--- good luck if you need help, let me kno, as long as the motor is in decent condition he can get it to pass.

you only need a usdm ecu and the evap purge solenoid from a usdm car. thats all the smog equipment you will need, also a usdm exhaust manifold or a carb approved header.
then do the usual stuff like a tune up and put a little denatured alcohol in the gas tank and drive the car long and hard right before you go for smog
