SMOG questions for Cali ppl
whats up guys,
i have a 93 2dr ex with a d15b using all my D16z6 CARB compliant and US emissions parts as in my US intake manifold, DC 421 headers, oem o2 sensor, charcoal canister and purge valve solenoid. everything works great now here is my problem im trying to smog it for registrstion, im being told that since my o2 sensor is only reading 1.5 cylinders is causing HC's and Nox to be very high. the said if i relocate it to where it can read all four cylinders it should pass. Tech says that hes seen alot of of theses cases with DC headers and o2 sensors in the wrong location and as soon as they are switched it passes..
anyone else have ran into this issue or know anyone that has and had the same thing done with positive results?? please let me know asap

Re: SMOG questions for Cali ppl
yea and its true... ur car is goin to be burnin to much fuel for no reason cuz its only reading exhaust gases through one cylinder only... but like the tech had said if u relocate it it will pass with no problem... because there are three parts to passin a smog test .... first part v isual, second part dyno/two spedd idle (mostly all-wheel drive cars only), system check obd connector (mostly obd2)
