What up yall?? Im out here in LB Area of So Cali and I'm interested in trying to find a civic car club and really begin fixing up my civ. Im interested in doing a swap on my 00 Honda Civic EX Coupe. Im kinda new to this and want to know what are the best swaps for my Honda Civic. Im out in cali so I need to know what engines I am able to put in my civic that will pass smog. Let me know, if any of you all know of shops out here that can do them and where to find engines at good prices holla at me..

Thanks for the swap info but do you have any information that will let me know which ones will pass the smog. the information was great but some people have told me that only certain engines can be dropped in my 00 civic ex. i have heard that any engine made in the same year is okay and will pass smog...ie. 2000 b16a, 2000 b18a. Others have told me that you can only put the same stock engine. I find the last hard to believe but Im very very new to all this so I am trying to find the most information. If you all can help me out thanks.. any info is appreciated

well when i got my motor refed i was told as long as the motor is the same year or newer than the chasis, and that it originally cam aout of a pass car than it would be a legal swap. P.S. also all the smog equipment has to be there from the engine came from
