Default Small Turbo Setup

sup y'all, thinking about doing a small turbo setup on my car. Nothing fancy. I still have a D16y7. Something like a junkyard setup. So far I got this
-14b Turbo
-HF Manifold
-3/4in thick 4.5 by 4.5 inches steel adapter plate
-DSM Injectors
-SAFC
-Upgrade Fuel Pump(don't know what to get though)
-Greddy Type-S BOV
-Manual Boost Controller

This is just a list of parts I have in mind.. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Any ideas on that??? I don't know which one. The majority of those turbo setups use starion intercooler. I'm not fully decided on that though. Any suggestions??

I know what I'm getting myself into BUDDY. You just misinterpreted what I said. Let me rephrase. In reply to the post about getting a turbo timer, how about a Greddy Turbo timer, they look nice and I bet they are pretty good. I know a turbo timer doesn't sound. DUH!

A friend of mine had a HKS turbo timer in his RX7. Those are pretty nice, but big.

a nicely sized downpipe would help as well (2.5"-3") and contact flamenco-t for all your oil feed/return/fittings that you'll need...get signed up on homemadeturbo.com (if you havent already) and get on one of the "tyrus" intercooler group buy he has cus he sells nice IC's for less than $300...then order a couple mandarel bends from jcwhitney.com and fab up some charge pipes for your set up...to go with those charge pipes, check out turbohoses.com for the reinforced silicone couplings...while the charge pipes are getting welded together, find you a first gen DSM bov (unless you have more money) and have them weld that on too...

now that the basic stuff is done, get your essential gauges, silicone hoses and save some money to get on a dyno to see what your A/F readings look like...as for the TT, its not really needed if you drive in vac about 2mins before you get to your destination and then wait about 30 sec. before shut down...i wasted money on a greddy TT, but it only works when it wants to..

HTH and remember; Boost is VERY addicting!

Adapter Plate Info:
Using the HF manifold as a guide, center it on a piece of .75 x 4 x 5 inche flat steel plate that is roughly big enough to mate the header and turbo. Mark and center punch the four holes on the manifold. Drill and tap with a 10mm x 1.25mm tap .5 inch deep for all four holes, but do NOT go all the way through. If you prefer you can skip this process and weld the plate directly to the manifold. But i know some people dont have welders. Here is a pic of the adapter plate

Tools Needed
Basic mechanics tools - Sockets, wrenches, etc.
Grinder
Tape measure
Center hole punch
Die Grinder
Drill pess/hand drill
Drill bits
2 inch hole saw

The least we spent was $225 & the most was about $560

should i go with a 14b or a t-25? i had the 14b in mind. Also where is a good shop here in Miami with good prices ofcourse that I could get this all done. Cuz for sure I can't do it myself unless I get help. BTW you also said you didn't spend more than $560 in the whole turbo setup with you doing all the handywork or just in parts?
