Small Cam Seal Leak

Small Cam Seal Leak
I have a small oil leak coming out of my cam seal on my exhaust cam.
But its not leaking from the cam plug, its leaking from the seal on the side with the cam gears.
It barely leaks any oil, and when the engine isnt running it doesnt leak.
Im just wondering how major this is, and how difficult it would be to fix this myself?

Re: Small Cam Seal Leak
you have to remove the timing cover, loosen the timing belt, and remove the cam gear itself to gain access to the seal. use a pick awl and be careful not to gouge the inner surface that the seal sits when you remove the old one. when installing use an appropriate sized socket to evenly apply pressure when pressing in the new seal. lastly, make sure you get it back in time. to make things easier just set the engine at tdc before starting and lock the camshafts in place with 2 8mm punches or screwdrivers through the cam cap.
