sludge on one of my valves????
i took my intake manifold off my b18b, is a 99, and i was just going to clean the old gasket crap off so i can buy a new one, its my swap thats going into my car, but i was looking inside of on the intake ports and looking at the valves making sure they weren't bent, and saw one of the valves had this caked on black ****, wat can it be?? none of the other valves have it.

is it the valve closest to the distributor? i can only think it to be blow by gases coming from your intake > throttle body > closest intake runner

Sounds typical of a engine that has not had the best upkeep. You could use a fuel induction cleaner, like what BG offers.
