I'm really not worried about what other people think, at least I know i can't get anyworse that this, it's sort of a baseline for future mods and driving skills.
No one has really said anything about the elevation factor. Do you really deduct about 2 tenths for every 1000'?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yea...i mean i wasn't saying that you should be embarrassed, some people in the stands/watching were clowning on me, but at least i was out there....good luck and don't give up

Re: (slow96)
dude i havnt seen a stock gsr break 15's this year at my local track. bad drivers i guess. last week there was a gsr w/ intake and cut off exhaust that ran a 17.2@85 he raced against a stock civ ex that ran a 16.5 at like 80 very sad.
so dont feal bad.
next time right when you get on the track where people burn out, practice your launch there and if you bogg out then launch higher. if you burn out then launch lower. and if you still bog when you race then push in the clutch and race the rpms and re-drop it.

I would be at or around a 17.4, if I was at sea level to 1000'. I know that there is a lot of improvement on my part, I've never really learned how to launch.

Re: (m3dia_lab)
i suggest you get a tach. but if you dont want to buy one or something, just redline your 1st,2nd,3rd so you know how fast you can go in each gear and then just shift at that speed. thats the poor mans tach..trust me i know.
