SLOW 99 DX build
Debated about posting up this build. I have been out of the Honda game for probably 4-5 years now. After having a 00 Si and 93 Si stolen I kinda got tired of dumping money in something for it just to be taken from me. Now I live in Colorado in the Army. I daily drive a 01 Toyota 4runner. It was stock when I bought it and it kinda evolved into an off-road/camping vehicle. My wife has a 16 4runner lifted and 33's so picking up a civic was nice and loving the gas mileage. Its nice to be able to fill up my tank for $20. Told my wife it was gonna be my daily beater but can't help leave any car alone.
Wish I had some pictures of the car when I bought it. The guy smoked so much weed in it you could of probably got a contact high looking inside. First thing I did was completely tear the interior apart and cleaned everything. More pics coming soon of clean up. Also got some EX seats from a guy on CL.
So here it is a 99 Civic DX hatch for $1800. Pretty much how I got it. Had LS mesh wheels and aftermarket radio.
Swapped out the cluster for one with a RPM gauge
My money pit. Just did a projector retrofit the other day. Oh ya, its SUPERCHARGED (ZOOM ZOOM)

Re: SLOW 99 DX build
Looks very clean, good $1800 spent, that's about what I paid for mine, silver 99 DX coupe.
ive been wanting to swap for a cluster with a tach but currently my local junkyard doesn't have any for standards only autos, did you get yours online? I've seen a jdm one for like $65 but it has Khm so idk that may kind of be cool lol.
Speaking of civics beijg stolen ive been thinking what are the best ways to prevent theft on these older vehicles?
