Default slotted rotors question.

so if i was to buy some slotted rotors for my car, when it comes time for a brake job, is it possible to turn the rotors, or do you just buy new ones?

they can be turned using grinding bits instead of the standard cutting bits. most shops dont carry grinding bits.

I wouldn't even get slotted rotors to begin with. If you're going to be running a brake pad for street and track, a solid rotor will be fine because these pads don't outgas enough (or wear down fast enough) to warrant the need for slots in the rotor.

I've spoken with many guys that track the **** out of their cars and they all say that slotted rotors are a waste of money. Hell, even most of the ITR guys on this very site that track their cars run solid rotors.
