Icon2 Skunk2 Tuner 2 / Supertech Springs

I did some research on the web about the correct way of chosing/mixing and X type of cam with an Y type of valvetrain when not going for the same brand, and I was able to came to this theory...

If the Supertech Springs Part Number: SPR-H1002D says they can handle a Max lift of 14mm, than I should be Ok running S2 Tuner 2 right?

The problem I found is that some member desagree on what this very same springs can actualy handle. Some says they can only handle 12.5 and so on

Anyone have an opinion about this? or even better, anyone running this setup...

It will be for a daily driver so I`m also running Supertech steel retainers, and not planing on reving more than 8500rpm

Any opinions about it?
