Default Skunk2 Radiator issues.

I bought a skunk2 alpha radiator for my 95 Honda Civic CX to replace my old aftermarket one. The hoses seem to small to fit on the radiator and they bulge when I force them on my radiator and the piece that holds the top doesn't seem to fit well. Skunk2 hoses cost $100+ which is out of my budget. Is there any alternative I can use for the hoses? And will I have to buy a new top piece or the radiator?

The Skunk2 Alpha half-size radiator for EG/EK Civic has larger hose fittings to make it compatible with B-Series engines. I had one in the past and I forced small hoses of my little EX and ran it that way with success for some time.
If your old hoses are having problems making the stretch, I would suggest buying a new hose (the one sold for your car) and a larger hose clamp and just put some KY Jelly on the radiator spout and force it in. Leaving the hoses to heat up in the sun first helps make them pliable.

Do you have any links to anywhere that sells hoses that fit the skunk2 radiator? Im running the stock d series engine so will the new hoses fit there?

Default Thermostat temp raising after use

I installed a skunk2 radiator in my 1995 Honda Civic Cx as well as new Radiator hoses. However I've noticed the temperature gauge raises up almost to red when I arrive after my commute to work and when I arrive home. I assumed It was my fan because it wasn't blowing when the temperature gauge would raise now the wires to the fan switch seem exposed which could be why its not turning on. Do I need to just tape some electrical tape on it? or change the whole switch altogether? Is there any other possible reason for the raise in the temperature gauge?

Unplug the switch and put a jumper wire in the plug. Fan should now run all the time the key is on. If it does not, troubleshoot the circuit. Test drive with fan running all the time, if there is still overheating, the problem is something other than the fan.

If it's worked before it more than likely as said before you need to bleed the coolant

I've done that already when I installed the radiator. But I bled it when the car was running. Was that wrong?

Or just make one from a soda bottle and some tape.

Default Skunk 2 Radiator drain plug size?

Thanks to all who helped with radiator. I bled the coolant and found that it's the fan blower switch that was faulty and replaced it. However I found that the drain plug for my radiator seems to be leaking I want to replace it with a metal plug that'll hold better( hopefully). Does anyone know the size of the plug so I can put in a metal brass plug?
