Hi,

I searched the forum and I'm getting mixed results as to whether I'm going to need to buy camber kits.

I know I'll need an alignment (I need one anyway), but will the camber wear my (directional tread) tires unevenly?

Tires are expensive.

I don't mind buying them if they put the camber at stock, but what experience have people had dropping and with camber? Also; is there a cheaper way to adjust camber?

More then likely you'll have negative camber in the front. So yes.

Ok i've had a set of them before with and without a camber kit. Here's the thing it all depends on how much you lower it. If you are doing a big drop than you've got to have one to save your tires. Easiest way to see if you need one is to put those springs on than then take it to an alignment shop and see if they tell you the camber is way out.

Well, I just bought the Skunk2 springs, says around 2.5" drop.

"A few relatively newer Honda models, such as the 96-00 Civic, the rear suspension has a pretty steep camber curve, and could benefit from slightly reducing the negative camber in the rear from what you get from a drop alone. I would recommend the replacement rear upper arm-type camber kits. Those use a turnbuckle-type adjustment that will not slip."

Also it says you WILL have negative camber on the front..

plenty of those people if not all of them have drops.
i have a 1.8 drop with no camber kits after 2.5 years only needed to replace tires once in the front because i aligned it poorly.
