Default Skunk2 or JG Edelbrock mani for the sol...

I have a question I have a '95 del sol with a B16 I/H/E and ITR cams. My question is what would work better on my car a skunk2 intake manifold or JG Edelbrock?

TIA

IMO, I would go with the Skunk2 manifold. I use one with my setup and it works great. The Edelbrock unit is a good unit but is designed for higher RPM power and is probably better suited to your engine if you're going to go boost at some point.

Hector, arent you going JRSC? You do know that will take over your manifold so why get another one before hand?

egcoupe94,
your correct about the sol's coming with a b16a3 already coming in them in 94-97. They
Are pretty expensive and the dealers i should know. I look for one in nashville for about 6 weeks. Finally came across on a deal for a 93 si sohc that i couldnt pass up.

If you're not making power above 8k, neither will make much of a difference, if at all.

94-95 Del Sol VTEC's came with a B16A3
96-97 Del Sol VTEC's came with a B16A2

to the thread starter...
i say go with the skunk2. i'm not sure, but i think its the JG that has firewall problems.

hm like Luser said, why are you trying to get an IM if you're going with a JRSC?

Hector, you and me both know that JRSC shouldnt be on your mind at all. You know you wanna boost lol, anyway, if you keep the delsol NA, id go with a Skunk2, but if you are going to boost, id wait to get our intake manifold. It should be done pretty soon

with those mods i'd stick with the stock mani. it's been well documented that the itr intake mani. doesn't make power til
7900 rpm,

Remember I changed my mind Victor. I'm going CRVTEC with N20, boost is out of the question for now.

Good lookin out Henry. I already have the JG in the del sol but I was thinking of trading it to the little **** I traded the crx too.
Well I guess skunk2 it is. Thanx everybody, .

Hey tell that little fuch he owes me $20. Anyhow, the JG is worth a lot more than the skunk2 so make sure he gives you more $$$ for it too.

I know I'm trying to get him to give me the throttle body with it.
I swear Henry I'm going to end up beating this kids ***, He went to R-Toyz and told Scott that I sold him a car with a fucked engine. What he didn't tell Scott is that he ran the rex on 7 pounds of boost without any fuel managment, he ran it on stock fuel. Then he has the nerve to come to my place and ask me for $200 dollars for some pistons, I told him to **** off.

defenitly skunk2 unless you plan on upgradeing the cams and reving higher.
JG is more for high reving power

JG manifold is for 7800-10000 rpm's is that manifold power band

Skunk 2 Is a replica of the ITR manifold with a lengthened 4th runner

JG - topend
Skunk2 - midrange-topend
