Default Skunk2 intake manifold help!!!

I bought a skunk2 intake manifold for my del sol that has a d16 engine and I need help installing it..I installed it the first night that I purchsed it and when I started my car the rpms reved really high, and I know that you have to adjust the throttle cable bracket but my main concern is how to reconnect the hoses, I looked at the instructions that came with the manifold and some ports need to be capped up and you need to get a tee to connect three hoses together, now the way the hoses are connected to the stock manifold are you suppose to reconnect the hoses the same way as to the stock one or do they get moved around? and whats the best way to identify the hoses before taking them off? please let me know I would really appreciate pics if anyone has them...thanks

some hose will need to be extened. most should go back in the factory locations. if it revs high like that there is a vacume leak, make sure the manifoild is bolted down correctly, and that you follow the old hose patterns. Cap off the ones you dont use, also make sure you IAC is clean. and that your throttle cable isnt too tight.

in common cases its either a leak whee the manifold gasket didnt seat to the head correctly, bease te old gasket wasnt cleaned off well enough, or where the throttle body meets the manifold, to test that you ca get some carb cleaner, turn the car on, and spray in those 2 sections, if the idol jumps, you will know where the leak is.

If you are thinking that it is a vacume leak, check for any old hoses that you may have used, to make sure they are not old and hard, as that can sometimes cause a leak aswell. make sure all your hoses are connected to the correct spots, and are tightened down correctly. That should help find the leak.

hey I finally installed it today and the only issue I'm having now is the check engine light is on and the gas pedal feels a bit weird like when i shift from first to 2nd the rpms drop and it jerks so I'm thinking it might be the throttle cable, what do you think though?

Throttle cable may be too tight and you should pull codes to see why you're getting a CEL and NOT drive the car until you do.

im guessin that skunk 2 never made thier manifolds with air injection holes for the 99-00 d series like edelbrock did? if so u would need to plug them if u dont have air injection.

ok I checked all of my sensors and I cleaned my map sensor and put on a new throttle body gasket and my CEL was gone but now when I start it my rpms jump from 1k to 2k non stop and when I unplug the map sensor it idles normally but when I took it for a test drive my gas pedal feels stuck an I would have to put more pressure on the gas to atleast move the car..any advice??
