Skunk2 Front Upper Control Arm Bushings
I just received a set of Skunk2 upper control arms, but the ones I got didn't come with the black bushings as pictured below. Is this normal?
Sorry, I had to use the ad photo. It's the only shot I could find.

congrats on the skunks, how much did it cost ya? anyways, i'm pretty sure the color of the bushing doesn't matter, but if you are really worried, just give them a holla'.

you could always use the stock bushings, but i'd call skunk2 and ask them just to make sure it wasnt SUPPOSED to come with their bushing s

What car do you have? I'm pretty sure the ones in the picure are for 96-00. If you have a 92-95 they don't come with them.

Oh ok, I have a '94 CX. I guess everything is just fine then. Thanks.

92-95 arms do not come with these pivot bushings, use the oem ones
96-99 arms come with new black pivot bushings
You can not interchange these two applications.
**Do yourself a favor and get some poly ball joint covers, the Skunk rubber ones won't last more than 2 months before cracking and alloing the elements to attack your upper ball joints.**

Re: (racin-type)
I just installed them like an hour ago, no clearance probs @ all, tackled some speed bumps on the test run to get gas. Goin for an alignment tomorrow tho to correct the front and back. Also put the SPC kit on the rear.

Never had problems with these slipping, to be safe I used locktite on the bolts after the alignment.
I had contact issues like described before with a low ride height. Once I raised the height a little I have had no contact issues as of yet. **it may be good to note that OEM arms will also contact when the car is lowered quite a bit**

Re: (SLPR)
Mine's came with the bushings. I got an EK. I too need to do my alignment soon. Steering wheel shakes at 70+mph and its getting annoying.

Are you sure the noise id coming from the ball joints? Can you liminate the possibility of another source of the noise?
Are your ball joint boots intact, no rips in the rubber?

Re: (SLPR)
Mine squeaked @ first like the first 10 min or so after I put them on and they dont squeak anymore. Went and got the alignment, -.5 camber all around with toe set @ 1/8th. If theyre still squeaky get some like lithium grease or silicone grease, that'll quiet it down.
