Skunk2 Camber kit...opinions?

Skunk2 Camber kit...opinions?
Any opinions on the Skunk2 camber kit? I'm about 2.25 inches drop up front so my camber is pretty off. I just got some new Falkens on my stockers so I want to get it aligned soon. A local shop has a good price on them and they told me I would notice a big diff in traction.

The skunk2 camber kit is fine for what it does. But dont be misled by what actually wears out your tires.
Toe in wears out your tires. That is the adjustment that gets way off by dropping your car so low. Your camber gets off too, but camber doesnt wear a tire out like toe in does.
Also, when the shop says you will get more traction by installing camber plates....that is misleading too. If you autocross or track your car, you WANT camber, at least -1 to -2 degrees. Camber gives you more traction while turning, but less when going straight. If you set your camber to 0, then you will have more straight line traction but less in the turns.

If I do any kind of racing its occasional drag at my local track or street. I guess I would benefit more from the camber adjustment in this area then.
I was under the assumption that since I'm so low and the camber is off, I'm only using about 50% of the tread. The inside tread. Now with the camber kit, doesn't it fix it to where the contact patch is 100%? Also adding more life to the tires?

depends on how it's adjusted. If your camber is set to zero, yes, it will use the widest part of the contact patch. For use at the drag strip, this is where you want to be.

I use a cheaper Progress kit. It adjusted Toe-in. As a by product of the way it adjust toe-in it also helps camber a lot. I burt my first front tires in 6 weeks. With the kit I've had them for over a month now and they show even wear all the way.

If I go ahead and purchase the camber kit, will I rub more in front than I am now? I don't rub too much. Here and there. The tires and the fender.

You will probly rub more. When you adjust the camber kit more positive your wheels will sit more up right and vertical. This pushes the top of the wheels closer to the inside of your fenders. This why you want to buy the correct offset wheels.

it's a pair of new A arms, sliding plate and new ball joint. Pretty cheap for $200. Go price a new balljoint *only* from Honda and see how much that costs.
