skunk 2 lca sway bar hole
i got some 1st gen skunk2 lca for my 92 civic and im trying to install an itr rear sway bar, but i cant find the right bolt that would fit for the endlinks hole.
i have a blox adjustable endlinks and the hex bolts that came with it didnt fit the LCA.
i was searching and someone said that they used oem integra endlinks bolts. so i sent to the junk yard and got 2 bolt and they still dont fit.
number 30 bot size 10x42 is what i got from the junk yard.
is it just me? do i have the right bolt but cant install it right???
i posted this in suspension but i think i will get more help here.

Re: skunk 2 lca sway bar hole (k7q)
how did the bolts not fit? length wise or width?
which skunk2 LCA's? the ones with 3 position/holes for the endlink bolt?
please answer ^
I have skunk2 LCA's (3 hole) & they use 10mm... some oem stock endlinks are 8mm. I plan on picking up some long grade#8 10mm & using those because I will be using spherical rod ends as endlinks & its better to have the head of the bolt on the LCA side than the endlink side.
also skunk2 LCA (3 hole) have very thick/wide holes for the endlink bolt - so you need very long bolts

Re: skunk 2 lca sway bar hole (6SPD_EK)
i have the 1st gen LCA ( 1 hole )
the width of the bolt didnt fit...
so i might need a 8mm bolt?
what length of the bolt would you recommend?
and where can i get grade#8 bolts?

Re: skunk 2 lca sway bar hole (k7q)
I think you have something wrong here
for all LCA's the bolt is 10mm oem or not
the sway bar may need new metal bushing collars with 10mm holes (stock holes on swaybars are 8mm in the metal bushings)... you can get them from ASR (a-spec racing or Function7)
are your LCA's threaded?
did you try putting the bolt thru the LCA by itself? or were you trying to install the sway bar & had everything installed & trying to put the bolt thru then?

Re: skunk 2 lca sway bar hole (6SPD_EK)
ok. i found out why the 10 mm bolt didnt fit on the LCA. when i tried putting on the blox bolt it mess up the thread on the LCA a bit. with a little bit of elbow grease i was finally able to get the bolt through the LCA.
oem (left) blox (right)
anyways i guess i have the right bolt now. buttttttttt i have another question.
do i need the bushings to be metal? how can i order it from a spec racing? it wont let me.
i bought the sway bar from a member and i am abe to fit a 10 bolt through it, but it has rubber bushing.

or you could just use the rubber bushing in that swaybar (you have pictured)

i searched and i read in an old thread about the metal insert needs to be in the bushing, but mines dont have anything metal insert. they said it was bad if it was removed? but why?

eventually the bolt where wear directly against the rubber & the rubber will breakdown. metal on metal will lastmuch longer

anytime
at the sametime you are working on your setup I am on mine... ITR rear sway with aurora spherical rodends (same design as blox but much higher quality made in germany) teflon lined & self-lubricating... I found them for$11-$12 each (need 2 males & 2 females) plus shipping
