Default Skunk 2 intake manifold on d16y7

I want to install this manifold on my motor. But i want to make sure i have all my info correct before starting, since it s my daily driver and well...i need it, lol.

As far as i know, it should be like swaping the intake manifold from the y8 to the y7 motor. I read a threat on the mini-me swap that said i you should be able to plug and play mostly everything. Except i would have to wire the iacv from the 3 wire in the y7 harness to a 2 wire from the y8 iacv and also switch some wireing to the ecu.

The problem is that im not running vtec so im not sure if everything should follow exactly or if i need to do some extra stuff.

for example. the y7 manifold doesnt have some sensors like the y8 or z6 or any vtec do. like this one:

what is this? do i need to have it if im not running vtec? thanks.

o and can anyone tell me the sizes for the vacuum and coolant hoses so i can buy some.

thanks

I havent done this exact swap, but I have done a Z6 mani on a Y7 with the Y7 ECU. Now, you cant use a 2 wire IAC with the Y7, at least not to my knowledge. What we did was take apart the Y7 IAC and plug the plastic part into the harness and zip tied it to the harness under the manifold. Then, you have to set the base idle using the little screw and nut that the throttle pulley stops on when the throttle is shut. You'll need to block off the IAC port on the manifold, we just used the Z6 IACV. The car I did that on has been running for 30K miles and the idle is at 900-1000RPM with the AC off and about 800RPM with the AC on. It starts up first try even when its 25 degrees outside.

Also, with the Z6 we needed to get a different PCV, I dont remember exactly why. I think it needed to be straight, but maybe not. Other than that, its all pretty much the same. BTW, we ported it and used an LS TB. So, I'm not sure about the Y7 TB working.
