Its a very worthwile investment... The stock GSR intake manifold is so bulky. The weight difference between stock and the skunk2 mani is really incredible. On top of that you gain around 6-7hp I believe...

The Fly - where in the rpm range do u feel the biggest difference between the stock intake mani and the skunk one?

I felt a big difference when I swapped my mani. The Skunk2 adds some midrange, but mostly after VTEC kicks in, you'll feel a big difference. Good investment

My Hatch with b18c1 had jdm dc header, 2.5" custom exhaust, and an ITR AEM CAI. When I bolted on the skunk manifold, I felt no loss in bottom end at all, totally identical. The motor needed vtec to be raised higher though. I could FEEL the motor fall flat when it first hit vtec at 4500. But after around 5500rpms the thing just takes off.

with i/e/h and skunk manifold I ran 13.91@99mph in my full interior hatch w/ street tires. and i put down 159whp and 121lb ft of torque.

your right... its exactly like the type r... im running the JG Victor x... i was running the skunk 2... i have noticed a huge gain in torque and power during vtec... they have dyno tests with it... over the type r manifold it is 11hp at the wheels.... here is a pic...

Basically yea, they made it where you dont have to do custom work to make it fit like the real Integra Type R manifold.

ohhh ic...so if i was to get a ITR for my b18 i would have to get it too fit? ...on the other hand the skunk2 would just bolt up without problems.

Does it your stock thorttle body bolt right up to the manifold without having to port match the size?

Did you guys get a check engine light after installing the skunk manifold? I heard that you get one because of the secondaries not being there. Of course this ? is for people with stock ecu.

Isn't the Skunk2 IM already setup to accept a 62MM or 64MM TB without any extra machining?

The TB bolts right up. This is a easy mod to do.

You get no CEL using the skunk2 intake mani if everything is installed correctly.

I'd make sure that you include tuning and a header when you purchase the Skunk2 manifold.

Right now I'm running Skunk2 with stock header and it sucks. I can just feel the power die. Tuning would help out a lot I imagine.

The Skunk2 intake manifold isn't the exact same thing as a Type R intake manifold. The design was based off of the Type R intake manifold. Skunk2 has slightly bigger ports I believe.

Which ECU and program will be best for this? I hear the P28 with Mugen is good for Skunk IM. Let me know.

from the programs tested a stock ecu (p72) does very well, but it will require a VAFC or vtec moved to 5200-5500rpm range

Mugen is excellent, it adds few horses throught out the rpm range

my 70 mm tb bolts up to my skunk manifold just perfect...the manifold itself is 64mm throughout
