Sir Swap Qusetions!
I'm swapping my 96 stock civic dx non vtec engine for an SIR OBD1 engine that's coming out of a 94 civic car is currently running.
Was wondering what I will be needing for the the sawp,
- New mounts and which ones ?
- New wiring harness ?, good place to order one ?
- Which cables will need to be modifield for the engine swap?
- Any other info we be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sir Swap Qusetions!
Snap a few pictures of the current setup you have to see the mounts etc.
But off the head.
OBD2a to obd1 conversion harness
obd1 ecu from the 94 civic car
engine
transmission
all 3 axles ( driver, passenger, intermediate)
rear transmission mount from a 99-00 Civic Si ( or SIR if in canada )
driver side cast iron engine mount ( from 99-00 Civic Si) or SIR if in canada
reuse driver side mount from D series motor
reuse passenger side transmission mount from D series
Use the raditor hoses from the 94 civic ( and rad if its bigger/thicker than yours )
throttle body cable
So i think thats all
then wiring
probably will need to rewire alternator, distributor and add vtec wires to the ecu
And then your done.

Re: Sir Swap Qusetions!
Here is a thread that is stickied.
It shows everything that is needed for a obd1 swap into a obd2 car
https://honda-tech.com/forums/hybrid-engine-swaps-18/%2A-%2A-obd1-b-series-engine-into-obd2a-obd2b-civic-integra-%2A-%2A-1972711/
Follow that and everything is as easy as pie.

Re: Sir Swap Qusetions!
your welcome, and if you still have any questions ask away.
The search option is great, but sometimes its good to get an answer direct to ones personal question.
( H-T does have probably 99% of the answers already posted though, finding them in the slew of threads and posts is the trickie part )
