SiR parts into a DX hatch
Picked up an sir with smashed front end for the motor and parts and have a few questions.
I swapped the sir cluster, what are the green and orange plugs for? My dx cluster doesnt have them.
Will sir door panels fit onto the hatchback? How hard is it to convert to power windows and door locks?
How difficult would the rear disk swap be to do?
Would the rear seats swap over?
What else is there that i can swap thats worth doing?

Re: SiR parts into a DX hatch
by chance was your car a auto at one point?
all coupe and hatch door pannels are the same: and switch the whole door with harness, shouldnt be to hard,
rear disk- simple, shouldnt take to long at all.
I think the dashes may be differnt? seats, front disk breaks plus sway bars, (cant wait to put mine on)

Pretty sure it was never an auto.
Also since i swapped clusters and the rpm's are different on them, will my rpms/mileage still be accurate?

Re: SiR parts into a DX hatch
My car is a 2000 Canadian DX.
Parts car is a 2000 Canadian SiR.
Im really wanting to do the door panel swap for the power windows and locks and rear disk swap, but electrical and brakes arent really my thing aha.
I paid $300 bucks for anything i want off the SiR minus the engine. So far all i have taken is the cluster, center console/armrest piece and passenger seat.

Re: SiR parts into a DX hatch
Is your DX a coupe or hatch? If it's a coupe yes they will fit, not in a hatch tho.
Grabd the front and rear brakes (front brakes are bigger on the SiR) the prop valve/master cylinder/brake booster, mirrors, doors, front and rear sway bars and control arms (your model doesn't have the points to connect sway bars to) strip that bad boy down, you can sell what you dont use!

make them fit...can't be too far off...he he....unload that SiR!! I may need some parts from you in the future
I'm not sure about the harnesses in the doors...could be there....I just know that the cluster wires will all be there.

Does anyone know if i swap JUST the rear brakes from the SiR onto my DX Hatch, will ALL the parts i need be on the SiR? Or will i need to get e-brake cables, MC, Prop Valve from another car? Thanks.

Re: SiR parts into a DX hatch
Here's a little read-up on brake swaps: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/definative-brake-upgrade-guide-bolt-brake-upgrades-%9292-%96-00-civics-2645527/, should answer a few of your Q's.
Other things you can swap: leather shift **** + boot, all cruise control parts (that's what the green cluster plug is for), leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated mirrors + all that other power crap that was mentioned (you might just want to swap the ENTIRE cabin harness), what about rims?, front SiR grille?,
