Default SIR cluster

i just bought a jdm sir cluster for my 92 eg...and when i was driving i realized my car hits rev at 7,000 or 7200....and i only got a stock d15b7 that is suppose to redline at 6500....is the tach the same on SIR and US clusters? or am i just going past redline? HELP PLEASE!!!

OEM tachs are known to be off

your motor can rev to 7k but it wont make any power beyond 6800k+

so is the SIR cluster right or what? am i actully takeing my car to 7000 rpms?

Probably not. I have noticed the RPMs on OEM tachs can be off as much as 800 RPMs.

k thats what i thought....and when i also hooked it up, there was two plugs that i couldnt plug in one was yellow and one was green i think....do you know what those are?

Yellow = SRS
Green = Cruise Control
