Default Single Cam Swap ?

I wanna put a D16z6 that i have in my 98 civic that has a Y7 in it. Besides having to get a new ecu (dont wanna reprogram the old one) and a jumper from 0BD2 to 0BD1 and wire in the vtec what else would I have to do? I was told by someone about having to get a re-wire kit or somethin.

look first problem is i wouldnt switch your car to obd2 that would be stupid u need to find a y8 motor if you are going to go that route first of all obd 2 to obd 1 would be not only hard but costly and if you go this route it would not pass any kind of inspection at all!!!! so look into a d16y8 swap if you are going to stick to a dseries and also check into just doin a y8 head swap on your car but remember your going to need a y8 ecu to make it work and also have to wire up vtec and probably a new o2 sensor also to make it more effective it would be nice to add a y8 or another lower gear transission to get the necessary power out of your car ive done mininme and single cams swaps be careful of where you buy parts from and remmember to check and double check everything before you drive

Well the reason i am looking to do this is because i got the motor for free and its got some head work done to it and other goodies so i figured id just throw it in. No decesions are final though but say i did decide to do it..is everything i named off earlier all i have to do or is there more involved?

OBD2 to OBD1 is easier than OBD1 to OBD2. You could just get a conversion harness whick would be OBD2a>OBD1 for you.
