well it HAS been proven (in an article of hondatuning i think) that the d16y8 intake manifold does make a very small amount of horsepower over any other d16 manifold....why dont you just swap over the whole head?

the y8 manifold is a pretty good upgrade from the y7 top mount throttle body manifold , which has a very small plenum. swap is pretty easy. but depends on which y8 mani you got. is auto or 5spd, and is it 96-98 or 99-00?

if you got the whole swap, including throttle body, then its pretty easy. but if you got a 99-00 manifold, then it has the ir asist holes by the injectors. block those off.

should of got the y8 head also. And the y8 manifold does produce the most flow compared to all the other d series manifolds.

sorry, i meant "air assist holes" or something, they are next to the injectors, and have a rubber hose going to them.
