single cam engine fit in civic dx??????
Some one is giving me a single cam engine and I'm goin 2 put in my dx .
Do I need the tran or computer for the single cam engine or I could use the dx

What type of single cam is it a d15, d16z6 ect... this is all info that is needed to help you each engine might require a diff computer/ wiring harness ect. generaly speaking any d series engine will bolt up to your d series trans and can be bolted into the car getting it to play with the wiring and computer is another story

this guy is straight up stupid.bring it to the shop if u don't know anything.If you wanna do the swap and ask question like this.don't even bother doing it by urself it will take u years to finish.

Nice reply *******. **** hes just excited he got an engine, hes probley young and needs help. now when he gets us what engine code the engine is from or what it came out we can help him.

dont dx models come with a d15 engine?
well i have a question of my own and rather not start a new threat..
im putting my d15 engine into my shell with d15 ecu its all non vtec. am i gunny run into any problems if i use a vtec wiring harness?

the vtec wiring harness will have a few extra and diff plugs on it than the d15 the distributor plugs will be diff along with the O2 senser plug will be a 4 wire
