Since the suspension forum is slow: Its time to play recommend me a spring
Done a lot of searching but I can't seem to find what I am looking for. I have stechs now and they are too soft for my liking, altough I like the drop. I will be autocrossing next season and I am in the market for a stiffer spring. I have looked at the eibach sportline and prokit and also h&r race springs, but I have heard that the h&r's are not good for daily driving. I have kyb agx's as well.
Thanks.

Eibach, Nuespeed, H&R lowering springs are all progressive rate. Try looking into race springs, IE Neuspeed race springs. If you say the Tein S Techs are too soft for you, then go for the race springs. I have S Techs on my 97 coupe. Too me it is a pretty firm ride. My 99 SI has Neuspeed lowering and it rides almost stock until the progressive leaves come into play then it firms up. It doesnt even come close to the stiffness of the Tein Stechs in my 97 coupe.
Try looking into some coilovers too.

Give it more time geeze. You posted this thread 5 minutes after you posted in the suspension forum. What the hell do you expect in 5 minutes?

^ to the guy above, lol.
but as far as spring rates, I would say test out your own springs before you go out and buy new ones. I know a guy who has a 97 cx with no suspension mods, no mods at all actually and he's a hell of a lot faster than those with many more upgrades. basically I'm saying drive how it is now and change it out later. anyhow, good luck.

Go h&r dude, they make quality springs.
i have h&r sports with kyb agx on my civic. It rides great with the stock 14's on it, with the 17's I use to have it was a bit stiff, but not bad at all.

I had some H&R on my old BMW 323i that I had before my 325i. The H&R setup was lower than the 325i (factory sport suspension) but the ride quality was very very similar. So, as a brand, H&R is good stuff IMHO.
I'm trying out some Vogtland springs on my Civic. Hopefully they will be on after this weekend... I'll compare them to my friends Tein S springs, which I really liked when I rode in his car.
