Default Simple question...

Hey guys, i was putting gas in yesterday and was in a hurry and accidentaly lost my gas cap . Anyways my question is would a cheap gas cap from autozone be okay or get one from the dealer? Im a working student so if i can get it for cheap I will. Does it make a difference? Thanks and have a great weekend.

highly reccomend you go to a junkyard and get the OEM one for your car. no gas cap or the wrong one can not only **** with the presure, and cause vapors to leak, but could make the car's ECU believe that there is a problem. this guy paid the dealer 500$ cause his gas cap was loose. your car has sensors for some of this ****, and can cause it to give a error code, or think you have less gas than you really do. this is why i suggest goin to honda or gettin one from a junkyard.

Agreed go out and find the cheapest OEm gas cap you can find. You will throw a CEL if you dont have the gas cap on for awhile. Good luck man.
