Default simple idle question

ok my car is idling wierd after swapping out my bottom end for y7 (into a EX)

after it warms up, it idles to 800 rpm and stays....until i hit the throttle and it holds at 1500 then drops down to 500 then back up to 800 and stays

when im on the road...i can push the clutch in and the rpms fall to 500 then back up to 1500 and holds till i let the clutch out

ive also noticed alot of hiccups now through the power band while revving up to redline

need some help here
ive checked all my vacuums and cleaned my IACV

thanks
jman

mine did that for a long time, didnt seem bad. After i got a intake with a higher flowing air filter, that seemed to sure it. check your air filter. get a new one, then reset the ECU. that helped me out, it "learned" not to fall that low. But yea, mine did that soon after i reset the ECU, then it stopped after a few days, and has been fine for a year.
