i have a co-worker who works at sylvania on the side and my grandfather also works at sylvania making these bulbs. He says that the difference between them is basically just the price. There is no noticable difference and most of these bulbs are also marketed under a "no name" brand for a cheaper price. I wouldnt bother with them unless your car is a street car. My car is a track car so it has no lights.

Yeah i dont actually own a honda myself but ive done quite a few customs projects on them and i work in a machineshop so i figured i would get in my 2 cents. I have owned hondas in the past but i switched over to VW because i was looking for performance that was reliable. But yeah i really dont reccomend getting anything like a super bright bulb unless youve got vision problems (in which you should see a doctor).

yeah im not saying that hondas arent any worse than a vw for power and reliablility but with my experience in the machineshop, The modifications done to a VW to get 400 hp to the wheels are a little more extensive but you have less damage done to the engine in the long run. Any VW built past 1993 is gonna suck especially if it comes stock with a turbo or if they try to cram a giant engine under the hood. I have a 1.8 litre engine that blows away 3.2 litre engines in the same car. 32 psi bbm supercharger, 100 lb fuel injectors, full race exhaust, intercooler, aftercooler, port/polish, custom valve job, reinforced intake manifold, race pistons, race cam, race piston rods, lightweight flywheel, 6 pad race clutch, 175 hp nitrous, short shifter with a limited slip dif.

Sometimes i run alcohol injection for more air. 137 ft lbs of torque at idle (900 rpm) the last dyno run that i did was awhile back before i rebuilt the head and i was a little past 600 hp without nitrous.

GE makes good bulbs but i dont know if they are HID. You can find HID kits for like 200 bucks online that wont melt your housing and they are guaranteed to get you noticed if your into that type of thing but your gonna get a few more tickets than usual. Most people just plop in "high performance" bulbs and they find that the mirror backing gets toasted from the vaccuum and heat. If your gonna put them in be sure not to touch the actual bulb with moisture on your hands because you could blow a bulb instantly. good xenon bulbs will explode from moisture contact during operation. Better xenon bulbs will have a cooling system/vaccuum relief system and a lexan casing to prevent wallet destruction.

i have the silverstars and im pretty happy with them. much more pure white light over the super dull yellowish oem ones i had. visibility is better but not like "holy crap its day time!!". if u want something to show off or w/e, save up for some decent HID's. if u want something better than oem that looks nice and helps with visibilaty, get the silverstars. IMO, it was worth the $30, i feel a bit safer driving at night

if i chose between bulbs for different occasions if i had headlights on my car than there are 2 main options which i would choose from. IF i just wanted to have something that was bright enough to see better than usual than i would prolly get silverstars because of their popularity which makes the brand more stable. But if i wanted to show off and let everyone else around me think that i am jesus with the ability to light the world than i would go with these 8300 k bulbs... http://www.coolbulbs.com/HIDKits_body.asp

your the biggest retard in a 3000 mile radius of life. VW's are probably the most unreliable POS's on the planet, and that **** is CONFIRMED, written in facts, and then some. Every soul I know Shuns the name. This is after ive owned some.

Never again will you EvER compare a honda and a VW.

Im suprised that even bringing a non-OEM headlight even near one of your VW's, it doesnt just automatically start in flames from the thought.

if u want much better light output with HIDs, 3k-8k is the best. 3k-8k will get u about 3x the amount of light output than a traditional halogen. after 8k it drops down to 2x the output and the light is extremely blue.
