side skirts 92-95 same as 96-00? 2dr 4dr HB same? Painting stock Sideskirts?
Hey guys,
I Know there are a fair amount of parts that are interchangeable between 92-95 and 96-00 civics. I was curious if 92-95 2dr side skirts would fit a 97 2dr. If not are the sideskirts on HB 4dr's and 2 drs the same from 96-00 or 96-98. I would like to get a hold of some stock ones cheap so I can sand and paint them to match the rest of the car. Has anyone done this? if so, could you post pics? I'm curious as to how well the paint will adhere to the rough surface of the stock ex/dx/lx sideskirts. I know the si's have same color and smooth sideskirts, but I assume they will be harder to find in a junkyard. I'm sure you're wondering why i don't just paint the sideskirts I have on now, well i want to have them to fall back on if I **** up, or if I want to sell the car stock.
Any input will be appreciated. (aside from flaming)

92-95s are interchangeable between all models.
96-00s are interchangeable between all models.
You can modify the 96-00s to fit on the 92-95, but I don't knwo about putting the 92-95s on the 96-00.

actually for the 92-95 i belive that all side skirts will take some modifications because they are all different. my coupe BC side skirts I was going to put on my HB and I needed to shorten them, where as on the 4dr they needed to be longer... they all have different sizes from what i know of... i could be wrong though.

good thing I was browsing, because I was wondering the same thing, b/c I didn't know if coupes/4dr side skirts would fit a hatch.

The 96-00 coupe/hb skirts are different from 96-00 sedan skirts. The 96-00 coupe/hb skirts have longer flares than the sedans and the clip location are also different but will still fit if you dont use all the clips.
I've painted my skirts before. Make sure you use the adhesive promoter so the paint won't peel off easily.
