side moldings? need help getting it on *pics*
BEFORE
AFTER
i still have to get all these put on my car too:
i put these on with the help of the honda mechanic, we just yanked the pieces off and didnt care if the little things broke off, then we just stuck the new pieces on.
anyways, how do i get my door panel off so i can change the door handle and the big black piece?
also, if i want to sand down the pieces and spray paint them to make them nice again, what kind of sandpaper should i use? and how deep/hard should i sand them? i also just plan on putting newspaper and tape on the car, so i dont need to take them off again.

Re: (okman16)
okay the door panels arent that hard to take off...
IF YOU MANUAL
FIrst unscrew teh handle/coin pocket on the door and then there is a codder pin on teh window roller and after that you just pop everything out.....
the side mirrors are also easy.. get a flat head pop the panel out and there is 3 screws or bolts i believe make sure someone is holding it cause it might fall....

Re: (MickeeAgain)
im in the process of diy paint for my moldings on an eg.. frost white.. the paint matched pretty good i say 90percent out of 100..maybe cause my car is not washed.. tomorrow will be the third day of the process.. clear coat..
it is a bitch to take them off properly.. took me a good 2 hours.. cause the clips are in a tight space..
oh yeah i would have taken the moldings off properly.. cause i know people might buy them,,..
do u really need a honda mechanic to just rip them off the sloppy way..

Re: (okman16)
It will most likely break..(that nut in the door) it happened to me I just ordered some new moldings and the nuts from honda as for the door, inside the coin thing youll see a screw unscrew that then unscrew the door handle screw and unscrew that stupid screw thats plastic and matches the door youll see it then pry the door off around the edges and enjoy the sound of all your clips breaking and your door rattling forever...ok after that peel back the plastic and reach your hopefully freakishly long arms in there and squeeze the clips and itll just pop off...on a side note how much did it cost to paint your moldings?
